I've had other enclosures where it's like you just drop the enclosire in and it didn't seem very solid.

It's an ever evolving industry and there are faster connections to be had with more storage space, but for what it is it works great. I have it plugged directly into my laptop, but plan on plugging it into my envlosure machine unit to have access enclosuge it over the network.
